Wrapping up the year
As you start to wrap up 2023, it’s a good time to take a step back and look at what this year has been like, taking a holistic view of your life. How has this year been for your relationships, or for your career, or health and fitness? What new skill have you acquired this year? How has your spiritual journey looked like? Is there any hurt you need to acknowledge? Are there people you need to forgive? What do you want to leave behind this year and what are you taking forward to the next year?
What does your year ahead look like? What are your hopes and dreams for the year? How will you nurture yourself and your relationships? What do you want to put into practice? Who can support you?

Since August 2023, we have hosted and facilitated several workshops.
Understanding Domestic Violence
Facilitated by Priyanka Shah, this talk gave us an in-depth insight into the topic. She covered aspects that would better equip us to identify signs of intimate partner violence, how to identify it in a clinical setting, and safety planning with the client. Priyanka spoke from her rich experience working with survivors of domestic violence in the US.
Experiencing Art Therapy
Workshop facilitated by Art Therapist, Neeta Bajaj. She took the group on a journey of self exploration through colours and sounds allowing for a beautiful sensory experience.
Using Narrative approach in Therapy
Facilitated by Narrative practitioner, Jehanzeb Baldiwala, the thought provoking experience led participants to discover what an ‘ally’ can look like in a challenging situation and how we can become better allies ourselves.
Understanding Addiction
Obi Unaka, the Deputy Director of Samarpan’s residential program gave us a talk on the dynamics of addiction, warning signs, evidence based treatment interventions for clients visiting their facilities.
The holistic approach not only looks at past trauma and patterns but also looks at nutrition, exercise, social support, learning new skill and techniques and lastly committing to meetings to continue to find a community of support.
Our workshops
“I have attended a number of workshops organised by Align. I found each workshop to be thoughtfully curated, meticulously planned, and highly informative and engaging. The centre where the discussions are held, is an extremely soothing and inviting space, and the facilitators are incredibly warm and welcoming. Each session left me feeling like I had gained a wealth of knowledge, and got the opportunity to interact with a wonderful community of mental health professionals. I found great value in these workshops, and would highly recommend them to anybody who is looking to grow professionally, expand their learning, and acquire new skills!”- Sascha Kripalani
Sacred Circle
“The sacred circle at Align has been an incredible experience! The sessions have provided an incredible platform for open expression, fostering a judgment-free environment where individuals can freely share their thoughts and experiences. The experience of attending the sessions has truly been transformative. The team including Rachana, Shachi and Priyanka have genuinely created a space where people feel comfortable and has quickly become my safe space and for many others as well, I am sure.”- Vatsal
